How cool is it that I got to walk with my mentor teacher, Mike, who taught me everything I needed to know about being a classroom teacher. Forever grateful to him.

Five years ago, I received my Master's in Elementary Education from UPENN. Moving to Philly was one of the best decisions I've ever made for so many reasons. I remember how hungover I was at graduation due to excessive over-partying the night before. I recently received an email from our directors at the program and they wanted to congratulate those of us who made it to 5 years of teaching! Has it already been 5 years? This made me think..where am I going to be in 5 years? The idea of the year 2020 seems so abstract and distant.

This is what I know will happen in 5 years:
-I will have a child starting Pre-K/Kindergarten..OMG
-Hubby will be a second year attending
-I will be in my almost mid-ish 30's...
-We'll be celebrating our 7 year wedding anniversary :)

Here's to another five years!
