...And I am finally home sweet home. After being in the hospital for two days, it is kinda nice to be back although I miss the room service and the staff waiting on me hehe. The surgery went well, we got there around 6 pm with our appointment scheduled for 9pm. I went into the OR at 11pm and out by 11:30pm. Yay! I had such an amazing staff who helped me throughout the process. Thank you to Laura and Rachael (the nurses), Dr. Roberts (the most entertaining anesthesiologist), Byron (the scrub tech), and of course Dr. Tabsh. I got an epidural which wasn't as bad as I thought although I let out a "holy f****". The most painful part of surgery was when they had to tilt the table I was lying on. I felt like I was upside down on one of those roller coasters and frozen in time. It definitely made me nauseous.
I didn't feel anything during the surgery, but the recovery period has been so painful. I have to follow strict doctor's order: STAY IN BED FOR THE NEXT 10 DAYS!
Thanks to everyone for thinking of us during this process!! Praying that this rescue cerclage will keep baby j in until we hit the full term mark!
Signing off,
Mommy J
