Week 15 (Part 1): Be Careful What You Wish For

Before my days of preggo life, I jokingly (seriously) told Jon that I was going to go on maternity leave at 3 months so I could prepare for the baby. Yup, I thought 6 months was an adequate amount of time for me to relax, travel, get nursery together, pretty much check things off my imaginary bucket list.

Be careful what you wish for.

Between getting bronchitis and having a short cervix, Dr. Amersi asked if I could do my job sitting down for the majority of my day. I think if I was teaching upper elementary, middle or high school, it would have been totes doable. But I am running around with the little kids all day everyday. I officially had to go on disability from work due to my condition and thus begins the beginning of the rest of my pregnancy.

I am now considered a high-risk pregnancy patient and forced to begin my bed rest at 15 weeks (with 25 more weeks to go..)

YES! Second trimester just got that much better. No more morning sickness and lethargy. Instead, I get to go on bed rest..(sarcasm)
