Week 22: Surviving Bed Rest

It's been 8 weeks since I've been on "bed rest." It doesn't sound as fun as one would think. There are various types of bed rest. I am so relieved I can do bed rest at home and not in the hospital. The first week my doctor told me to rest, I was like woohoo. The next few weeks, I was like okay, I can get used to this. Now, I cannot wait to resume everyday activities.

The most challenging part of bed rest has definitely been having to be dependent on someone else. While physically I feel fine, I can't do a lot of activities I enjoy doing. I was painting for a good chunk of my bed rest, but now I am told I can't even sit up and paint so I'm trying to find other hobbies.

This is How I've Survived Bed Rest so far:

1. Netflix/TV

2. Have company 24/7 (if possible) who can cook and clean for you

3. Get comfy pillows (Back N' Belly Pillow for my bed and Snoogle for the sofa) and an Ikea Foldable Tray

4. Dream of all the things I can't wait to do and eat (can't wait to ditch the stitch!)

5. Shop online (thank you Amazon Prime, you've been amazing)
This is how we hang out on bed rest
